This prestigious wine of superior quality from Or Haganuz winery is produced in limited quantities using a unique combination of four distinguished grape varieties (cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, and petit verdot) The grapes were carefully hand-selected from vineyards on the northern slopes of Mount Meron.
Dedicated care, and personal attention goes into selecting perfect clusters of grapes which undergo meticulous care, cold soaking, and controlled fermentation. The precise process of extraction is followed by maturing for 40 months in fine French oak barrels. The wine has undergone a lengthy resting period in the bottle, and will continue to improve with age.

Tasting Notes
Horkenus is a dry red wine made from a combination of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, and petit verdot. It has a deep bordeaux color, with subtle hues of purple and blue on the edges. The aroma has notes of spices, spicy chocolate, cloves,and dried dark berries, rounded off with a rich woody oak and “old world” aromas. A full-flavored, complex, soft to velvety, delicate, and fresh wine. The wine has a long-lasting and pleasant finish. An impressive wine, aromatic and unique, worthy of fine dining and as an accompaniment to rich flavorsome dishes.
